From installation to insight in one day.
No custom development, no IT project. Placing a snippet is enough.
govanalytics measures by default without cookies and without personal data. Implementation via tracking snippet or tag manager takes less than an hour. From that moment, data flows directly into your dashboard, realtime and without delay.

Frequently asked questions about implementation
- How long does the govanalytics installation take?
- Implementation takes less than an hour. Placing a tracking snippet via one of the supported tag managers or directly in your website source code is sufficient to get started. No custom development or IT project is required.
- Does govanalytics need an IT department for implementation?
- Not necessarily. The standard implementation via a tracking snippet or tag manager is accessible to anyone with access to the website or tag manager. For advanced options such as server-side tracking or connecting to your own data warehouse, technical support is useful.
- Where is my data stored?
- By default on govanalytics-managed servers in the Netherlands. You can also choose to store data in your own environment: BigQuery, ClickHouse or S3/Parquet. That way govanalytics has no access to your raw data and you are fully in control of data ownership.
- Does govanalytics work with my existing tag manager?
- Yes. govanalytics supports Google Tag Manager, Consent.studio Launcher, WalkerOS, Piwik PRO Tag Manager and Matomo Tag Manager. Migrating from GA4 or Matomo? Your existing tagging works directly on govanalytics.
- How does cookie-free measurement work technically?
- govanalytics recognises sessions based on aggregated signals such as timestamp and technical characteristics of the request. No persistent identifier is created, no cookie is placed and no IP address is stored. The result is aggregated visitor data without individual visitors being tracked. Read: measuring without consent.
- Can I connect Power BI or Looker to govanalytics?
- Yes. govanalytics has a documented data model that lets you connect your own BI tool. All tables and fields are described. See docs.d8a.tech for technical details.
And for everyone who chooses to hold themselves to the same standard
even without the law requiring it.
Municipalities, provinces, water authorities, public bodies, housing associations and executive organisations: you can start measuring under the same standard today. The same platform. The same documentation. The same architecture.
