Frequently asked questions about integrations

Does my existing Google Tag Manager setup work on govanalytics?
Yes. govanalytics supports the GA4/gtag.js protocol, which means your existing Google Tag Manager container works in most cases without any changes. You do not need to rebuild your tagging.
Can I connect Power BI or Looker to govanalytics?
Yes. govanalytics has a documented data model that lets you connect your own BI tool via a BigQuery or ClickHouse connector. All tables and fields are described via docs.d8a.tech.
Where is my data stored when using BigQuery?
In your own Google Cloud project. You choose the region yourself: Ireland (eu-west1) or Germany (europe-west3) are common choices for GDPR compliance. govanalytics has no access to your stored data.
Is ClickHouse available on all plans?
ClickHouse storage is available from the Organisation plan. On the Start plan you can choose managed hosting by govanalytics or your own BigQuery project. See the pricing page for a full overview.
Which CMS systems are supported?
govanalytics works with any CMS that supports placing a JavaScript snippet, including Drupal, WordPress, TYPO3 and Kentico. Implementation via a plugin or directly in the template.
